{ Change Is A Constant } | Life.Is.A.Movement.


Moving.  Not really one of my favorite things to do.

But this past weekend we helped a friend move out from her apartment.  And I realized how much I dreaded moving from one place to another.  The process of packing and un-packing was something that I don't truly enjoy doing.  Yet one thing was clear, when I did have to move...I had to face it head on.  And the positive of it, is that moving provides an opportunity for me to do some cleaning out of old things that I don't need to carry on to the next home. ;-)

One thing I realized in life is that change is a constant.  We can expect that change is inevitable as we move from one chapter of our lives to the next.  And at times, it may require us to pack up and go...to be uprooted from our normal routine and start something different.  But just like moving from one place to another, when there is a new season in life, I try to look at it as an opportunity to clean-house...a time of introspection of sorts.

It's an opportunity.

And not unlike moving from the DSLR to the X-gears, I had to introspect on how I approach my photography. The old methods may not be suitable any longer. Tips, tricks and shortcuts on the old may not apply either. I had to slow down. But one thing is for sure...no other camera rekindled my passion like when I first started shooting with the X-gears, especially as it relates to capturing images.

Life is a movement.  From one experience to the next...one chapter to another.  But here's wishing that whatever new chapter is unfolding in your lives...you will take the time to slow down and capture it as it unfolds.
