It’s exciting here in the world of X-Trans!
The engineering-gods at Mt.Fuji delivered the enviable focus-peaking to the X-Pro1 and X-E1, a feature that, alas, the lesser-geeks at Mt. Olympus decided to slumber over on the OM-D! And as if it weren’t enough salt to the injury, the Mt. Fuji miracle workers delivered it via a lightning rod that was "firmware upgrade." Sweet! Naturally, I downloaded and upgraded as soon as it was available. Version three-point-oh, baby!

A couple of weekends ago, I also had the privilege to pick up my "new" used car from the Land of OC…a black beast known as the 2007 FJ Cruiser
TRD. I have been looking for such a
beast for three years now to replace my aging Jeep Wrangler, currently with a need of a
new transmission, and my mechanic friend finally delivered. The FJ is a rare
black-on-black “Toyota Racing Development” special edition with a 6-speed
transmission and blacked out bumper and rear view mirrors.
I'm planning my next excursion to take the X-Trans badboys for another ride with the FJ and try out the focus peaking. X-Pro1 / X-E1 shots coming up! Stay tuned.
