I was given the privilege for a few years now to document the annual Easter Musical Drama at my local church here in the San Francisco Bay Area. This Broadway-style production depicting the Passion of the Christ consists of over 150 volunteers of all ages with live musical performances. It also involves real animals...a donkey, chickens and goats - they are not singing, of course ;-)...which is always a treat among the kids.

My favorite, though, is to document the behind-the-scenes - these are often times visually and unpredictably much more stimulating than what goes on in front of the audience, which are limited to controlled stage lighting. A lot of these images were taken literally in the dark, but overall the X100S performed wonderfully - so much so that I am sad to say that my D3 will most likely be seeing much less light in the future, but I know my back will thank me. The "S" didn't hunt once throughout the night, and managed to perform in every lighting situation.
