{ For the Love of Photography } | Leaving.The.Legacy.

Princess has had her own camera since she was 4 1/2 years old. It was a point and shoot: the Canon PowerShot A560.  One of the greatest moments in life was when I realized - as a parent - that I have successfully passed on the love of photography to the next generation. For five years now, Princess has been shooting with her P&S as well as my other cameras except for the X-gears. But this past weekend we reached another milestone.

Fast forward to the present.

Princess is now nine years old. She asked me for the first time if she could borrow and shoot with my X-Pro1. I was hesitant at first, but then quickly remembered that I have decided long ago that I will never part with this particular Fuji X-gear...it has earned a permanent place in our family. I made up my mind that I will never sell it and that the X-Pro1 will be a family heirloom. So when Princess asked for it, I thought it was an appropriate right of passage of sorts.

Some of the results were these four frames. They were wonderful, artistic images IMHO and possessed good sense of composition. She even included the obligatory selfie. ;) All credits goes to Princess and all images were taken with the X-Pro1 using the 35mm 1.4R. All I can pray in my heart is that this legacy I'm trying to leave behind - and the love for the X-gears - will continue to the next generation and beyond.

Happy Shooting!
