I am one who would think that in every aspect of life, there is always a purpose.
I received a call from a friend in the morning who haven't talked to me in over half a decade - just like that...out-of-the-blue. Naturally, I asked him how is the family and what does he do now for a living, as the last time I had spoken with him he was invested in some fast food businesses. He mentioned that he is no longer in the restaurant business, but is still doing real-estate, and is also starting up with an investment company as a sales person of sorts. He was actually calling me to give his sales pitch and was trying to get me into investing on some real estate prospecting down in the LA area with this new company.
Fast forward to the evening.
I was hunting for some gluten-free crêpe house and ended up at this place in San Jose called Green Bites Cafe. I ordered my crêpe and started a small talk with the owner of the place while noticing that the chairs were labeled with a distinct "Q" on the back of them. Sure enough, it turns out that the current owner bought the place from a previous Quiznoz, and decided to keep the furniture the way they were.
And the owner of that Quiznoz previously...yup...you guessed it, the friend that I haven't talked to in over 5 years.
Coincidence.
Convergence.
Happenstance.
I.think.not. B-)
Fortunately, I always have an X-gear with me at all times, and I had my X100S to capture the moment and to remind me to be mindful of where I put my investment dollars in.
For now, quite frankly, investing in making lasting-joyful memories is all that I could afford. ;-)
