We went back to the ranch again.
This time Princess left with a mission: to learn how to ride horses. So we spoke to a few trainers and it looks like we'll be back there sooner rather than later. It has been years since I've been on a horse myself...I was 7 years old and it was a Southeast Asian horse at that - maybe it qualifies more as a mule than a horse due to their smaller stature, but definitely no thorough bred. ;-)
There is something majestic about these magnificent creatures. If I were asked what animals have "soul", I would respond it would be horses. One look into their eyes, and I can almost see that the reflections of myself in their eyes have been bounced off from a deeper place...as if they hold some ancient truths deep within those black orbs. If only they could speak, maybe they would tell me the legends of their ancestors...when there were only open fields and endless skies...and their kind were roaming free across the land.
These frames were all taken with the X100S. If I were asked what cameras have "soul", I would respond it would be the one I'm snapping these images with. B-)
Happy shooting everyone!
